An agricultural exemption on the property was pre-existing when we bought the land, as there was a lease for sheep & cattle. As soon as the lease expired, I was determined to bring in cattle of my own. With little debate, our choice was to create a home for the historic and colorful Texas Longhorn breed.

J&B Longhorn Ranch is located in southwestern Coleman County, Texas and is situated about two miles from the Colorado River and Ivie Lake Resevoir.

Over the past few years, what began as a handful of cows, a few young calves, and one bull has multiplied into a nice herd of more than eighty-five head of Registered Texas Longhorns. The J&B Longhorn Ranch began with selected stock from established breeders such as Tom & Mary Beth Peoples, owners of the well-known Quail Ridge Ranch and Allen & Suzanne Perry, owners of Pearl Longhorn Ranch.

We both look forward to the future growth of our retirement venture, meeting new friends, and becoming involved in the Texas Longhorn industry. Remembering that all good and perfect gifts come down from above, we give total credit for our success to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
